Whether we like it or not, money and wealth are important aspects of living. Consciously or unconsciously, everybody has need of it. It is actually the keenest contestant of God's place in a man's life, not the devil. 80% of the problems in the world today is as a result of a lack of it. Although everybody has need of it, but not everyone can claim they have enough of it.
There are varying levels of financial shortage or lack ... the worst of all being financial famine. There is coming a sore financial famine upon the world, nations, governments, corporations, households and individuals like nothing we have ever seen or experienced before.
Famine means deficiency, lack, want - the state of needing something that is absent or unavailable. The basic meaning of the word famine is a severe shortage or scarcity. Although the "extreme shortage of food" meaning is most common, the noun famine can also mean any shortage or insufficiency, and it can be experienced financially, materially, spiritually, in a family, in business or career. Famine to a large extent is a severe state of poverty.
When financial famine occurs in a nation there are cut backs; businesses fail, sales are down, prices of commodities go up, people lose their homes, jobs and properties. Families and individuals suffer these periods of financial famine in a nation and some never recover from it.
When financial famine hits an organization, business or establishment it leads to an acute lack of sales despite every marketing and promotional efforts expended. Debts rise, strategies are frustrated and life is sniffed out of the business leading to bankruptcy and mass lay-offs. In some cases we have seen the owners of such businesses lose everything they have spent years laboring to build. It does not only affect the business owners, but all the staff members and those connected to them (especially family members) are adversely affected too.
When financial famine hits a household there is always a severe lack or shortage of resources. The resources are either non-existent or overtly overstretched. Food supply is lean; bills accumulate and remain unpaid; there is always a heightening sense of tension in the home and in some cases it has broken down homes, marriages and relationships.
Seasons of financial famine affects both the rich and the poor. The financial depression in the world today has brought many who are on top under, and many who were underneath went further down into the pits of financial famine.
The question that comes to mind in all these scenarios is:
"WHAT IS THE WAY OUT?"
As in all kingdom matters, there is only one person who gives the final word, He is the only authority on it and to Him we will turn. He has left us His will from which we can know His mind concerning every issue of life.
